Native to North America, the American Bison made their way to North America crossing the ancient land bridge that at one time connected Asia to North America during the Pliocene Epoch around 400,000 years ago.
Description
The American Bison has a shaggy, long, dark-brown coat. They can reach lengths of 11 feet, and can reach a height of 7 feet tall. Typical weights can range from 700 to 2,600 pounds.
